Workshop Policies

Refund and cancellation

Payment. Payment in full is required to register. All registration fees are non-refundable.

If you can't attend. Life happens. If you can't make it, email katie@kbc.care any time before the workshop begins, and your registration will be transferred to a future offering of the same workshop, or the amount you paid will be applied toward another Katie Barillas Counseling workshop within 12 months. If the future workshop costs more, you'll pay the difference. Registrations can't be transferred to another person.

No-shows. If you miss the workshop without letting us know, email katie@kbc.care within 7 days afterward to transfer your registration, using the same terms above. After 7 days, the registration fee is forfeited.

If we cancel or reschedule. If Katie Barillas Counseling LLC cancels or reschedules a workshop, you'll be notified by email and may choose either a full refund or a transfer to the new date.

Recording. Workshops may be recorded for internal quality and training purposes. Recordings are not guaranteed to be shared with attendees. You're welcome to keep your camera off.

CE credit. CE credit is not offered for this workshop unless stated in the workshop description.

Complaints and grievances

Katie Barillas Counseling LLC is committed to offering high-quality, respectful learning experiences. If you have a concern about a workshop, including its content, the presenter, accessibility, registration, or payment, please let us know.

How to submit a concern. Email katie@kbc.care with your name, the workshop title and date, and a description of your concern.

What happens next. You'll receive confirmation within 3 business days that your concern was received. It will be reviewed, and you'll receive a written response within 14 business days explaining the outcome and any steps taken. Possible resolutions include clarification, a workshop transfer or credit, a refund at our discretion, or changes to future programs.

Confidentiality. Complaints are handled confidentially, and records are kept securely.

Accessibility

Katie Barillas Counseling LLC is committed to making workshops accessible to all participants. Workshops are held on Zoom, which offers live captions. If you need an accommodation to participate fully, such as slides shared in advance, extra breaks, or other support, note it on your registration form or email katie@kbc.care. Requests made at least 7 days before the workshop are easiest to arrange, but we'll do our best to accommodate later requests as well.

Privacy and participant information

When you register, we collect your name, email, license type, state of licensure, and any information you choose to share in your registration form. Payments are processed securely through Squarespace, and Katie Barillas Counseling LLC does not store your card details.

Your information is used only to manage your registration, communicate with you about the workshop, issue certificates, and maintain required records. Records are stored securely and are never sold or shared with third parties. You may occasionally receive emails about future workshops, and you can opt out at any time.

During the workshop: please protect client confidentiality by using only de-identified or composite examples, and keep what other participants share in the session confidential.
